Avoid the Fitness Abyss

You may have found it difficult to commit to a fitness program. When individual’s first try and start a fitness program they really find it difficult to stick with it. In order to be successful in your fitness program you need to set achievable goals. Individuals that set achievable goals and work towards them will avoid the fitness abyss.

A majority of individuals that start a fitness program fail within less than six months. While the reasons are wide and varied in the fact is they do not commit to achieving their goals. Unfortunately, they fall into the proverbial fitness abyss cannot find a way out.

In order to avoid the fitness abyss individuals need to take the opportunity to set realistic and achievable goals. And achievable goal may be as simple as 5 pounds of weight loss within a month. Or you may elect to increase the size of your biceps by a quarter of an inch within a month. Those are probably both very achievable goals. If you have set a goal to lose 40 pounds in a single month this is an unachievable goal and will result in a slide into the fitness abyss.

The other deterrent for avoiding the fitness abyss is to partner up with an individual in order to receive inspirational and motivational support. This is not so crucial in your fitness program in order to avoid the fitness abyss. While many individuals often fail as a single entity does that employ the support of a friend are also more successful.
